#StreetPhotography is a great hobby of mine. I have to admit that my inspiration for street photography came from my younger brother, Wally. My brother has been taking and developing black and white photographs since the early 80's. He got into photographing his punk rock mates in all strange and interesting situations. Just recently there has been a booming interest in his work. Wally has a large collection of black and white photos. They have been used in news articles to photographic museums. You can see some of his work on his website www.wallycassidy.com. He has also just finished his first book called "The Other Half Lives".
I have been taking photos avidly ever since the first digital cameras came on the market. I find capturing street life exciting, and lately find myself documenting today's generation. In 2011 I took a few thousand photos of #Occupy London. The same year I photographed the Lord Mayor's Show in London. I have also visited Tokyo, and got a chance to visit New York. New York is the most photographed city in the world, and is probably the easiest place for a street photographer to work. Below you will find a gallery of street photographs taken at various locations. The street photographer usually shoots in black & white, but some photographs just work better in colour.
