"An Irish man in Holland "

Living in Holland since 1986 and working my way through the "Horeca" (restaurant business) and then onto ICT. Getting the chance to manage and build the famous easyInternet cafes (eIc) throughout Europe was a great experience. In 2010, I started working as webmaster / ICT manager for a conference organiser, setting up and running conferences in Asia, Europe and the USA. I gained a lot of experience working for the conferences, and got to see much of the world. The websites that I built during my employment where: www.tbliconference.com, www.tbligroup.com, I also set up a Wikipedia page for the owner Robert Rubinstein.

I have been building websites since the 90's, but never before as a professional. The drive to work towards becoming a webmaster started with the Millennium. I used the Millennium as an motivation to make some changes and to start studying for HTML, HTML advanced, CSS, PhP and Joomla. My most recent study was for the "Google Analytics Fundamentals Certificate".  Joomla eventually being the preferred framework that I have chosen to start taking up web design as a professional.

I have been taking photographs on a serious level ever since the first digital camera could be plugged into a computer. During my last employment I have had the opportunity to photography events and conferences around the world. Working with a small team when organising events has opened up new areas for me. During the conferences my responsibilities consist of arranging the audio/visual equipment, photographing the event, making the graphics for standing banners, presentations of sponsor logos etc, and running as well as collecting all the workshops and speaker presentations for later use on the event organiser’s websites.

In 2013 I started my own company named Webright. "Building websites the right way" is my motto. I thought making a business plan would take a lot of unnecessary time and work, but it was actually a pleasure to do, as I just knew in my head exactly how it should be and what I had to do. I first built my company’s website www.webright.nl. Most of the time I spent on the content, I wanted the website to have original content and have a modern clean look to it, with easy access to clear information, and without any external advertisements.

I have recently launched www.stephencassidy.nl, and www.wallycassidy.com. My main motivation for using Joomla is that Joomla has a broad scale of possibilities, Joomla is an ideal platform for companies that do not have intern webmasters or IT staff. Joomla has a worldwide community of professionals, who help, advise and support each other, Joomla is flexible, dynamic and can be used for small as well as large company websites.

What else do I do? Well, for the past 10 years I have been dancing different Latin dance styles including salsa, bachata and zouk, which keep me busy in the weekends. And most people say I'm a great cook.
